Mrs. Feyisara Ebunolu Ajayi

Mrs Feyisara Ebunolu Ajayi was born at Ibadan about seventy-three years ago to the famous family of late Pa Emmanuel Oluajumehinsi Elemo, a renowned illustrious son of Igbara-Oke and businessman based in Ibadan. Her mother, late Madam Esther Taiye Elemo (Nee Oni) (of the popular (Oni & Son) hails from the FADU ruling house of Okemesi,-Ekiti State.

Mrs Ajayi had her primary school education at Ibadan. She attended the popular United Missionary Teachers Training College (UMC), Ibadan between 1968 and 1970. She started her university studies at the Sir George Williams University, Montreal, Canada in 1973. On her return to Nigeria, she transferred her credits to the then University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in 1974 where she obtained B.Ed. Hons.(English Education), Second Class Lower,Division , in 1978. She subsequently obtained the M.A. (Guidance& Counselling) from the same university in 1987.

Mrs Ajayi, has many years of teaching experience spanning the primary, secondary, and post -primary educational levels between 1971-1973 and 1978-1993 respectively. She joined the services of Obafemi Awolowo University as an Assistant Registrar in the Guidance and Counselling unit, Division of Students’ Affairs in 1994. She rose through the ranks, having worked in the various sections of the University Registry, to the status of Deputy Registrar in 2005, a post she held until she retired on 30th September, 2008. Since her retirement, the university continued to engage her services on contract in order to mentor the budding and newly recruited staff to further benefit from her wealth of experience as a seasoned university administrator. She also worked as the Administrative Secretary (Head of Administration) at the Centre for Distance Learning (CDL), OAU) from 2010 to 2012. Mrs Ajayi is a member of many professional bodies such as the Nigerian Association of Guidance Counsellors (NAGC) and Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA).

Mrs Ajayi is a child of God. She is an active member and former President of the Women Christian Fellowship, All Souls’ Chapel, and OAU Ile-Ife. She is also a member of the Welfare committee of the same Chapel. On a social level, Mrs Ajayi is an active, founding member and former President of the Friendly Sister’s Club, Igbara-Oke. She is very passionate about her hometown Igbara-Oke to which through her activities contributed to her development and progress. Mrs Ajayi is happily married and the marriage is blessed with God fearing children and grandchildren.
