Dr. (Mrs) Lanre Aladekomo had her primary education at Esa-Oke United Missionary School in Esa-Oke, Osun State 1953-58. she attended St. Margaret Anglican Girls Secondary School Ilesha 1960-64 and with Grade 1 WASC. She had her Higher School Certificate education at Ilesha Grammar School 1955-1966. She gained admission to the University of Ibadan in 1967 and completed her BSc Economics degree 2nd Class Upper honors in 1970.

She later studied accounting on her own while working at Obafemi Awolowo University Bursary. She became fully qualified chartered Accountant in 1977 and later became a fellow of both the Association of Certificate Accountant of English and wales (FCCA) and of the Institute of chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).

Mrs Aladekomo was appointed the Bursar of Obafemi Awolowo University in 1992, the first female bursar of a federal University. She retired as the university Bursar and crossed over to academic in 2001 when she joined the center for Industrial Research and Development, now Institute For Entrepreneurship and Development of the same university. She later obtained a Ph.D. in Business Administration and retired fully in 2013, and has since been working privately as a Business Consultant.

Dr (Mrs) Aladekomo is into business development, job creation and youth skill acquisition and empowerment. She presents paper at seminars, workshops and conferences on self-employment, how to start, grow and improve small and medium scale Enterprises (SME). Dr (Mrs) Aladekomo has special passion for the ‘girl child’ and has been involved in organizing seminars to encourage the girl-child to work hard, aim high and be an achiever.

Dr (Mrs) Aladekomo is happily married to Prof. J.B. Aladekomo, a retired Professor of physics and an Emeritus Professor of Lead City University Ibadan where he was the foundation Vice- Chancellor for seven years. The marriage is blessed with children.
